Mutina

Mutina is a project born thirty years ago in the ceramics district of Fiorano, in the province of Modena, as a mirror of the best Made in Italy. The name of the company derives from the city of origin, Modena, in Latin, in fact, Mutina. Starting from the affirmations of Bruno Munari, one of the fathers of Italian design and the ten commandments of good design by Dieter Rams, without forgetting the motto of Mies van der Rohe: "Less is more", Mutina is today an excellence of our country that aims at innovation and the choice of high level partners. The year 2006 marks the brand's turning point, as a new way of looking at ceramics no longer as a pure wall covering, but as a designer project, where the use of the material becomes an integral part of interior design. We begin to use ceramics by combining technology and handmade, in order to overcome the limits of the material by seeking the high quality of the product, achieved through the use of a color palette ranging from white to black, welcoming precious shades of gray, ivory, ecru and a range of natural shades. There are many sizes of the lines in production, from the largest 100x300 to the smallest 0. 9x0. 9 mosaic, divided into floor, wall and mosaic products, all of which can be coordinated with each other. If today the real creativity lies in being able to remix different experiences and styles, in the case of Mutina the association of materials of different origins and the fusion of tradition and innovation represent the philosophy and the main value of the project. A project whose contamination capacity is expanding internationally, in those markets where Mutina is present.
